Anil Kapoor must thank his son for persuading him to go and meet Danny Boyle.

The meeting of the veteran Bollywood actor with the director resulted in him grabbing the role of the quiz master in ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ and the launch of his international career.

And withing such a short time after the release of 'Slumdog....' , Anil has already grabbed his second foreign project.

This time it is not a movie but the eight season of an acclaimed television series called “24” to be beamed through an American Channel.

In this project, the B-Town actor will be seen as an Indian counter terrorist cop who partners with a character to be played by the Canadian actor Kiefer Sutherland.

The action drama “24” was first beameed by the Fox Channel on November 6, 2001.

Later on the series went on to become extremely popular and now is the second longest-running espionage series in the history of television.

The leading man of “24”- Kiefer Sutherland has also won a Golden Globe for his role in the series.
